Het nieuwe album van Only Seven Left ‘Anywhere From Here’ is er! Vanaf vandaag kun je het album halen op iTunes, bij bol.com en natuurlijk bij o.a. de Free Record Shop! Het album bestaat uit tien nummers, en heeft een enorm mooi CD boekje. Er staan foto’s in gemaakt door Tim Knol, de lyrics van alle nummers staan er in, en elk bandlid heeft een eigen pagina waar een berichtje staat, en bedankjes. En dan is er nog een ‘algemene’ thanks-pagina, waar ook o.a. de mensen staan die mee hebben gezongen op de gangvocals. En ook deze keer staat FIAL erin! En daar willen wij Only Seven Left heel erg voor bedanken, want we vinden ‘t echt een eer om in het CD boekje te mogen staan! Hieronder zie je een aantal foto’s van de CD, en als je de inhoud van het boekje wilt zien/lezen, dan moet je toch echt de CD even gaan kopen!

Vanavond speelde Only Seven Left een show in Leuven in België, en morgen avond zullen ze nog een show spelen in Genk, België. Ook spelen ze morgenmiddag in de Free Record Shop (op Zuidplein) in Rotterdam. Ze zullen vanaf 13:30 tot 14:30 een aantal akoestische nummers spelen, handtekeningen uitdelen en met fans op de foto gaan. En natuurlijk begint volgende week vrijdag hun eigen tour, waar je nog steeds kaartjes voor kunt kopen!

Overigens heeft de website van OSL een nieuw uiterlijk gekregen. Ga snel kijken!

A while ago, a website called DutchScene posted a video, where they interview Only Seven Left, and both new singer Bjørgen and old singer Bart. The video is in Dutch, however, but it’s worth a watch.

Also, the band that is going to be the support act for the shows in April has been announced. The Swedish band You Ate My Dog will be the support for all four shows. Never heard of them? Well, there’s a first time for everything. You can now watch their videoclip and UpMagazine posted an interview with the band. For those who don’t want to use Google Translate, we’ve got the translation for you underneath the read more tag.

UpMagazine interview: You Ate My Dog

How did the recording of the videoclip go?
We’ve recorded the video with Brightbear Productions, a cool company that has made our previous clips, and for example, Destine’s video for “Thousand Miles”. We’re friends with the guys who work there, so recording the video went very smoothly. We’ve shot the clip in Stockholm, where we come from, and had a very nice day with everyone. In this video, we want to show everyone how energetic we are as a band.

What is “Caffeine and Sleeping Pills” about?
I don’t want to say too much about it, because I want to give the listeners a chance to give their own meaning to the song. But for me, personally, ‘Caffeine and Sleeping Pills’ is about how stressed everybody is going through life. We are constantly under pressure, and have to perform all the time. Many people can’t live without caffeine, sleeping pills and other kinds of remedies right now. I’m not saying that it’s a bad thing that people use these things, but you don’t solve the real problems with that.

This is the latest single from your album ‘Like Torches’, are there any plans for a next album?
Well, I’ll tell you straight away, we’ve already finished the first track for the new album. We’ve got about seven songs now, and our goal is to write even more, so we can make a decision in the studio. The new songs are a bit more straightforward, though fans of our current album will not be disappointed. We just want to make catchy music with some hard parts. I feel we are beginning to find out how we can do this in our own way. And hopefully we can distinguish ourselves from those bands that make a blend of poppunk and hardcore. We just wanna be a rockband!

We’ve heard that you’re working together with Ryan Key of Yellowcard?
Yes, that’s right! We’re really looking forward to that, we’re big fans of Yellowcard. Most of the members of YAMD grew up with the music of that band. They also have a big influence on us. Ryan already knew our manager, and he asked if he was interested in working together with us, and he was. Ryan’s coming to Stockholm soon to work on some new songs with us. We don’t know where, and with which producer we’re going to record the album, but we’ve had conversations with people in Los Angeles and New York, so I hope we can do this in the United States!

Just an update about some small changes on FIAL!
Both sidebars have been changed; the first one is now all about OSL (with links to their website, facebook, twitter, and a video, twitter etc.), and the second one is all about FIAL (our twitter, site stats, external links and more).

We’re also quite busy rebuilding the English part, which you are reading right now. This part is going to be smaller than the Dutch part, we’ll only post the news, a short biography and discography of the band and a small part about the website). It will have links to the fans website and the gallery, which are going to be in English.
Our Gallery got a new header too, and the Forum will probably get a new theme too, or we’ll delete it completely, since no one is actually using it.
But not just our site has had some changes, the website of Only Seven Left has had a new look too. In December, the band will start recording their second album, and they’ll update the site sometimes with some messages, photos and videos. So keep going back to their site.
Of course, since their updates are going to be in Dutch, we’ll translate it so you can read it too!

Newest Gallery additions

Yesterday afternoon, Only Seven Left recorded a couple of songs for RTV Rijnmond.
The songs (just vocals and piano) were broadcast between 10 and 11 last night, on the radio. Did you miss this broadcast, and do you want to listen to the songs? Then we have five video’s on the bottom of this post for you.
Do you want to have the songs as mp3 files, to listen to all day long, then we have a download link for you. Thomas Berends made separate mp3 files of the five songs, which you can download here.

As you all know, Only Seven Left played a little song during De Wereld Draait Door yesterday, and even though they only played for a small minute, we feel very proud of the band, and how well Bjørgen has done!
For those who, despite the rewind, still haven’t seen the show, we have a video for you at the bottom of this post (if you want to see the whole episode, which is in Dutch, you can do so on: www.dwdd.nl).

Also, we have a new theme for you, which will come online tomorrow, including the new bandpicture.
And ofcourse we wish Bram a happy 28th birthday! You can say Happy Birthday to him on facebook and/or twitter!

Edit: I’ve decided to put the theme online already; it’s made for large computer screens (given my screen is 1600×900), so there’s a chance that if your screen width is below 1024, it’ll look as if the layout is missing a bit. I don’t know what I can do about it, so I’ll just keep it this way, sorry if your screen is smaller and you get a weird lay-out!

Yesterday, OSL 3.0 had a photoshoot in Antwerp, with Set Vexy (and as soon as those pictures are on the internet, we’ll make a new theme), and tonight the band will play a (short version of a) song in the TV show de Wereld Draait Door. This show will broadcast at around 19:30, on Nederland3. For people who can’t watch it on that time, it’ll be repeated on the same night, at around 23:50, also on NL3) and if you still can’t watch it then, we’ll put a video online as soon as we can.
In December, the band will start recording their second album, with their brand new singer, which will come out somewhere next year.

In April 2012 the band will do a short tour, of four shows, through the Netherlands. And these are the dates:
